Minister: Rev. Ann Varker		Victoria Davies
I have been the minister at Quinton Methodist Church since September 2025 and am beginning to get to know people and context in this area. I am excited to see what God will do as we work together in this locality. My heart is to see the church grow in faith and in numbers. I have always had an interest in working with children and young people, so will be working with others to ensure all ages have a place within the church.		I'm excited to be part of the church leadership team and to serve our church family. As a primary school teacher, working with children is a big part of my life and I also enjoy serving as one of the leaders at our Girls’ Brigade group. It’s a privilege to teach children and young people about Jesus and to support them as they grow in their faith. I'm also a mum to two children, who both enjoy being involved in a variety of activities within the life of the church.


Carolyn Gaunt		Sue Harrold
Hi, I'm Carolyn Gaunt. When my church closed many years ago I transferred my membership to QMC. After a while I felt I wanted to be more involved with my church family. Because I love "talking!!" and helping people I volunteered to do door duty on a Sunday morning, followed by becoming a pastoral visitor, then on the welcome team for Tuesday coffee morning. I then became a funeral steward which I find very rewarding helping people in probably their most difficult time. I have just become involved in our Together Worship. At present I am part of the Leadership Team and Church Council. I still hold all these positions and am always willing to help if required.		My name is Sue and I have been a member of Quinton Methodist Church for over 35 years. I grew up in a Christian home and met my husband 54 years ago at our local Methodist Church. I have gradually become more involved over the years. I am a member of the leadership team and am one of the funeral stewards. I take great pride in that particular role and strive to the best of my ability to help families known or unknown to the Church to have the funeral of their wishes. I belong to the church rambling group and enjoy walking and chatting with others. There are many different groups and activities held here, we are not just here for a Sunday. I know you need never feel lonely when you belong to a Church so come along and give us a try.


David Housley		Ross Spencer
During my time at Quinton, I have taken on many roles- Youth Leader, Church Council, Steward, Worship Leader and Music Group – to which I have dedicated my time and efforts over 40 years. I was a steward for 8 years and know how important it is for our church to grow both spiritually and in number. I have been welcomed by the wonderful people of Quinton Methodist Church and I have always welcomed their support and guidance. With God’s guidance and prayer, I wish to make a difference as part of our Leadership team and to continue the growth our church. Isaiah 6 verse 8 says ‘Here am I; send me’- where the prophet volunteers to serve- this I believe with my whole heart, stepping out of my comfort zone and answering God’s call to make a difference.		I’m passionate about how we can better care for creation in an ever more complex world. Blending new and old-world Christian values to better serve my community. I helped found Eco-church and have run Forest Church sessions to better help people connect with the Holy Spirit outdoors. I enjoy attending our pet friendly services with my rescue dog Paddy and going on rambles. I’m always amazed by the love & dedication that goes into running Quinton Methodist church as a welcoming place for everyone. Supporting each other to grow closer to God and serve the Lord is an honour.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Welcome

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 11am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service. Our welcome team will be on hand to introduce you to others in the congregation.

Accessibility: The building is level throughout so those who require wheelchair access should not experience any difficulties. There is an accessible toilet in the main corridor that links the worship area to the church hall.
We are unable to install a sound loop due to the overhead pylons but will do our best to ensure those with hearing difficulties are seated in an appropriate position.
We project song words, prayers and other liturgy onto the screens at the front of church. If you would prefer to use printed copies then these can be provided.

Our Sunday Service

The morning service begins at 11am with a welcome from one of our church stewards and will normally aim to finish by 12 noon. Worship is led by our own minister, another of the Circuit ministers or lay preachers. This will typically include hymns from Singing the Faith, and other worship songs, prayers and bible readings. It is usual for the preacher appointed to offer a reflection on the bible readings.
Once a month we have a service of Holy Communion which makes use of seasonal liturgies from the Methodist Worship Book. All are welcome to receive bread and wine as part of the service.

What about children?

Once a month we have an All-age service at 11am on a Sunday which includes activities intended to support people with different ways of learning, On other Sundays we have toys and activities available for children in a dedicated corner within the worship area.

On the third Sunday of the month we also offer Together Worship, in addition to our morning service. This is held at 4pm and is intended to offer all ages another opportunity to worship together.
